Sadly our last day at 11 Woodward Street will be Friday 30th April 2010.  20 years to the day after we opened there.

We didn't want to go but the cost of renting the premisies just got too high for us in relation to the income we could generate from our type of business and with the space available.

After trying to absorb rent increases from our previous lease renewal 3 years ago the latest round of proposed increases made it impossible for us to continue.  We have been on a monthly tenancy since our lease expired and the landlords have given us notice as they have found another tenant willing to pay an increased rent.

Hopefully this doesn't mean the end of Beaujolais completely.  We are looking for new premises that are both affordable, able to generate enough income for us to continue and that will allow us to re-create that unique ambience that is Beaujolais.

We would like to say a huge thankyou to all our wonderful loyal customers - it's been fantastic hosting you.
